Day 117: Beach Inspired

June 21, 2018 by Vanessa Young in The Writing

What’s not to write about the beach?

Okay I have a confession. I love the beach....aesthetically. Actually being at the beach is often a hit or miss for me. I love looking at it but unless I am properly prepared, the beach can be a nightmare for me.

I rate sand 2.5/5 stars. It gets EVERYWHERE. There is nothing worse than sand getting in your shoes, your bottoms, your hair, literally anywhere. And it takes forever to clean out.

Listen, the beach is great but unless I'm fully set up with like a lounge chair, an umbrella and coconut drink I'd rather spent that time at the pool.

I know I know, this is BLASPHEMOUS. The beach is the getaway, the end-all be-all for everyone. And I think that's swell.

Just not for me.

Give me a conversation pool any day.
