Day 142: Furniture
Write about a piece of furniture in your home.
Listen, I love beds okay? I love my bed and all of it's comfiness. I love the guest room bed with all its bright color and splendor. I love ALL beds. So instead of just making this post about my bed, I'm going to post a bunch of pictures of other nice beds and make up short stories about who would sleep in that bed. ENJOY.
Industrial Grunge
Mickey and her ex-girlfriend picked out their last place together. So she was determined to find a place that truly represented HER. That place was an open air loft in a partially gentrified neighborhood north of downtown. Her bed was in her living room and her kitchen was also her bathroom but it was her space and she loved it more than anything else.
Twin Princesses
Myrvella and her twin, Bellarosa, were the king's pride and joy. Everything they wanted, they got. The king never said no...until one day when he remarried and they got a new stepmother, who liked to say no...a lot. She told the king every day that the twins were spoiled and to punish them for their bratty behavior, made them share a room instead of having their own separate wings like normal. The twins fought like cats and dogs but eventually learned to share.
Lost in Suburbia
Dan's a proud house husband. After his wife, Viv, gave birth to their son, he encouraged her to go back to work. He could tell she was getting antsy and restless being stuck in the house day in and day out. She made enough for them both to live comfortably. Dan had no shame in his body that he was a stay-at-home dad, he loved every second of it...almost. Their son was wonderful but sometimes escaping for 5 minutes into their bedroom was necessary for Dan.
Dream Boy
Robbie never quite understood why pink was a "girly" color. It was his favorite! His favorite shades ranged from bubblegum pink to the palest dusty rose. He decorated his entire bedroom in pictures of horses, bears and tigers with light pink accents. His mother was very encouraging and helped him pick everything out. His father stayed out of it. Robbie didn't mind as long as he could enjoy his favorite color in peace.
Angel in the Attic
At first, Ava thought renting the attic from some strangers she found on Craigslist was for sure going to mean she would end up murdered...but it wasn't bad at all. Her attic apartment had everything she needed and amazing skylights that naturally let the light in so she didn't have to turn the lights on almost ever. Her landlords were a nice, old couple that sometimes made her lunches but otherwise left her alone. One toe dipped into adulthood, complete!
