Have you seen any interesting road signs lately?
Corinne has been walking through the snow drifts for what felt like hours. No sign of civilization for miles.
No birds, no bugs, nothing but fucking snow.
Just snow, snow, more snow. More than likely she was going to die out here, among the stuff she hated.
Corinne really hated the snow. When she was eight years old, her father punished her by making her
shovel snow for six hours.
Six hours. She remembered she couldn't lift her arms or move her neck for almost three weeks.
Her mother never said anything to her about it, just massaged her before bed to help the soreness.
Corinne despised the snow. It was just pure white and ate everything in sight.
No color, no shadows, nothing came through. Just blinding, white snow.
It filled her with anger. She wished she could kick it away from her but she would just end up falling.
Corinne seriously detests the snow. It taunted her endlessly as she pushed on towards civilization.
The longer and longer she walked the darker and darker her thoughts became.
She missed the sun, she missed the warm, she just wanted to see the beach.
Corinne really can't stand-THUMP...
Corinne ran into a giant sign, she looked up confused.
She looked around, more confused, then looked up at the sign again:
Bellevue City; Next Exit.
Maybe she wouldn't die out here after all.
