Day 104: Vacation
Write about a vacation you took.
I don't think I will ever get over the awesomeness that was our honeymoon. My husband's sister hooked us up with an amazing Sandals Resort package in Grenada and for a week, we lived without any thoughts of responsibilities or duties. It was just day after day of drinking and sunbathing and swimming and exploring and EATING.
So. Much. Eating.
There were days when we'd sleep in and lay around until two in the afternoon, other days we were up bright and early at 8am. We got adopted by a vacationing family reunion, we made friends with numerous stray cats (one in particular was a black cat we dubbed Gato Negro), we made friends with a married couple (pretty sure they were trying to swing with us), we went out on a boat tour, we ate weird food on Hog Island, we spent a total of 7 hours in the pool in one day, we got out of the resort and explored the city, ate the local cuisine; basically we had a shit ton of fun.
That was my first time in another country that wasn't a state or a commonwealth so I was a little out of my element. But everyone was friendly and kind and helpful. It was truly a vacation where we didn't feel obligated to do anything but enjoy each other's company.
