Day 64: Sing a New Song

April 07, 2018 by Vanessa Young in The Writing

Take a popular song off the radio and rewrite it as a poem in your own words.

Who is willing to go the distance for you?
Who is ready to change the world for you?
Who will cross oceans, mountains, jump over lava for you?
Who has the strength to face obstacle after obstacle for you?
Who would put themselves through hell for you?
Who would fight for you?
Who is willing to die for you?

You. You are the only one who will do all of that
for you.

The soul suffers when it isn't nourished.
What nourishes your soul?
If this is all you know,
then what are you waiting for?

If you would die for you, then you would kill for you.
