Day 159: Miss Manners
Write using the words “please” and “thank you”.
"Can you please stop doing that? Thank you."
"Please listen up, everyone. Thank you."
"If you could please just hear me out..."
"Oh, thank you, that's not quite what I was looking for."
From the moment we learned to speak, women have been taught to be polite, courteous and never rock the boat. We're taught to say "please" and "thank you" no matter what the situation.
Sometimes those manners we're taught rear their ugly heads at the worst times. When we're getting violated, being harassed, being ignored, we lock it up, smile and say "please" and "thank you."
"Please stop, thank you."
"Can you please stop talking to me? Thank you."
"Please leave me alone, thank you."
"Please let me go..."
