Day 155: Aromatherapy

Write about scents you just absolutely love.

I LOVE the smell of baked goods cooking! Specifically the smell of cake batter baking in the oven. There's a warm, homeyness to it that fills me with comfort. I'm not the best baker but I sometimes indulge myself and make cupcakes just because I love the smell so goddamn much.

The smell of mint is so utterly fucking refreshing, it's unbelievable. I want mint in EVERYTHING. My favorite energy green tea with mint, my shampoo and conditioner, this amazing hair tonic for my scalp, MOJITOS, and so on. Muddle mint in anything you consume, elevate your fucking life.

Vanilla is such a basic flavor but GOD it's a classic. It's the best smell. I'm fully okay with admitting what a basic bitch I am. I'm not a big dessert person but vanilla is usually my go-to as a great base to add more flavors on top of it but in terms of smell? Nothing compares to a giant vanilla candle burning throughout the day, making your whole house smell like the inside of a cute stationary store.

Okay so I started to think of my next fave smell and I immediately thought of chorizo and queso and salsa verde and all the best things about Mexican food, so I decided to just put that under one category. The smell of Mexican food guarantees that my mouth will be drooling until I can get it into my stomach. I'm a simple girl, I love my meat and salt and cheese.

The smell of freshly laundered clothes will always always be a favorite of mine. Especially when they're still warm when you take them out of the dryer. It brings back that cozy home feeling I was talking about earlier in this post. I love a classic laundry smell so I try not to fuck with crazy scents like PASSIONFRUIT or PINEAPPLE BREEZE or whatever the fuck.
