Day 146: Clear and Transparent

August 03, 2018 by Vanessa Young in The Writing

Write a poem about being able to see-through something.

Soft, almost, they float above the crowd
Delights, laughter, sunshine
The bubbles stay buoyed purely with happiness
Iridescent spheres that pop on contact
Little kids with zero object permanence
Determined to make the little bubbles stay
A little girl gets lucky enough to hold one in her palm
She watches the whole world through the soft globe
Distorted and pretty and clean as can be.
