Day 134: Bring on the Cheese

July 17, 2018 by Vanessa Young in The Writing

Write a tacky love poem that is so cheesy, it belongs on top of a pizza.

Your love is like a ray of sunshine,
I am so happy that I made you all mine.
Your hair is black and wavy like an oil slicked sea
flowing to and fro in the wind, fluffy and carefree.
Your eyes remind me of a gemstone I once saw
gray and green with flecks of gold-colored straw.
Your skin pale but freckled, glowing underneath the sun.
A burn threatens to spread across your back and ruin all of the fun!
Your voice is as comforting to me as a warm blanket on a cold, winter night
Whenever your arms around me, I never want you out of my sight.
You are the love of my life, you are the apple of my eye,
together forever and ever until the day we die.
