Day 129: Commotion

July 10, 2018 by Vanessa Young in The Writing

Write about being overstimulated by a lot of chaos.

People started shoving each other. Someone spilled a drink on someone else.
After that it was utter fucking chaos. No one knows how to back down.
So it just escalates further. The crowd is bloodthirsty, ready to see someone get hit.
That energy only feeds and escalates the angry men shoving each other.
Security is fighting their way through the crowd of drunk observers.
One of the men's girlfriend shrieks at the top of her lungs, gesturing wildly.
Two guys get in her face. The crowd gasps. The boyfriend steps in front of her.
The anger bubble finally bursts. He gets hit.
The crowd cheers aggressively, feeding off the frenzy.
A chair gets thrown.
Fists are flying, punches are thrown, security finally breaks through.
The crowd begins to disperse. Someone's blood is all over the floor.
