Day 114: Neighbors

June 19, 2018 by Vanessa Young in The Writing

Make up a story or poem about your next door neighbor.

She always seemed to be searching for something
every time I see her.
She never looks up, never waves or says "hello."
I don't mind.
She seems to have a lot going on.
People seem to come in and out of her place at all hours
of the night.
I suspect something illicit is afoot but I
try to mind my own damn business usually.
And I was pretty successful for while until one day,
the cops showed up.
There had been a disturbance and someone left my
neighbor's place in a body bag.

“Names, characters, businesses, places, events, locales, and incidents are either the products of the author’s imagination or used in a fictitious manner. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental.”
