Day 108: Taking Chances
Everyone takes a risk at some point in their life. Write about a time when you took a chance and what the result was.
The biggest risk I've ever taken, hasn't actually (technically) happened yet. I'm talking, of course, about our impending move to Las Vegas.
My husband and I decided about a year and a half ago that we were going to move out of the state. We've been living in Ohio most of our lives. It's time to make a change. We decided on Las Vegas for numerous reasons: better job opportunities, more sun, closer to the West Coast, etc. We put the wheels into motion this year when we went to visit Vegas in March to look at potential places to live.
We finally decided to sign on a place in Vegas/Henderson and are moving in on June 18! The long drive starts on June 16. We're both excited and nervous and apprehensive and exhilarated. We've been in Columbus for the last 10 years, sticking around after we graduated college. This is a huge change and it's something we fully believe we're prepared for.
Taking a risk is not easy but I am huge advocate for never settling. Life is far too short, too precious, too undiscovered to just sit in the same place for your entire life. As long my husband and I have each other, we're going to be alright.
