Day 14: The Found Poem

February 13, 2018 by Vanessa Young in The Writing

Read a book and circle some words on a page. Use those words to craft a poem. Alternatively you can cut out words and phrases from magazines.

BE humble
Don't brag, don't puff your chest, don't wear your accomplishments on your sleeve.

BE gentle
Treat everything with the touch of a feather.

BE patient
Not every moment is a race, some things must be taken in slowly.

BE love
Have kindness in your heart with whomever you encounter.

BE mindful
Of your words, your actions, the decisions you make can send ripples throughout the world.

BE  wise
Fill your mind with knowledge of how to better yourself and the world around you.

BE pure
Don't taint yourself with negativity, with the messiness of everyday life.

BE God
Be the impossible. Don't be human.

“Names, characters, businesses, places, events, locales, and incidents are either the products of the author’s imagination or used in a fictitious manner. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental.”
