Day 12: Greeting

February 11, 2018 by Vanessa Young in The Writing

Write a story or poem that starts with the word “hello”.

Hello!
Bright yellow sunshine. Blue skies, no clouds!

Hello!
Young mom walking her pup and child!

Hello!
Cars beeping at each other at a green light!

Hello!
Fragrant man selling "gold" chains!

Hello!
Narrowly missed being run over by a group of kids on bikes!

Hello!
Sidewalk covered in confetti from the Mardi Gras celebration the day before!

Hello!
The best personal bank the city has to offer!

Hello!
Security guard half asleep at his post!

Hello!
Grumpy patrons awaiting their turn to yell at the teller!

Hello!
Dirty looks as I bypass the line!

Hello!
The teller closing up her window!

Hello!
She rolls her eyes at me, about to tell me it's lunchtime!

Hello!
This is a stick up!

Hello!
Everyone get the fuck on the ground now!
