181. Discovery: Think of something you’ve recently discovered and use it as inspiration.

I’ve recently discovered that meditation actually really does help me. I’ve always had zero patience for it because I’m a NEED SOLUTIONS NOW kinda girl. Anyway, I’d like to share a short blurb about some things that pop up in my head when I’m meditating:

Feeling the weight of my body. My hands on my stomach. Breathe in, breathe out. Floating. Floating in blue water. The only sounds are a small child giggling and a waterfall. Fingers feel light. Chest feels calm. The wind tickles my sunburnt face. Not too hot, not too cold.

182. Complain: Write some complaints about something.

Why is there still no proper recycling in our apartment complex? It’s almost 2019!!! Ticket prices for the first Enigma show are still waaaaay too overpriced. I really fucking hate when scalpers take advantage of actual fans! I’m so irritated that it’s been in the high 60s, low 70s all week but for NYE it’s going to drop all the way to mid-50s. Whatever it won’t change my ridiculous outfit.

183. Gratitude: Write a poem or journal entry that is all about things you are thankful for.

I am thankful for the love of my life
I am thankful for my beautiful dog
I am thankful for my freedom to freelance
I am thankful to be able to explore my creative spirit
I am thankful to everyone in my life that lifts me up
I am thankful for the weird city I live in

184. Chemistry: Choose an element and write a poem or story that uses that word in one of the lines.

They were too late. The thing towered over them at roughly 12 feet tall, fully coated in a titanium alloy unlike anything they’d ever seen before. The remaining scientists started to flee to the nearest exits as the Titanium Man roared in a strangely whistle-y tone. It began to lurch towards the running scientists. The blonde man to the left of it tripped over his own feet. His screams were muffled by the thing’s boot.

185. Applause: Write about giving someone a standing ovation.

I think the last time I gave a standing ovation was at San Diego Comic Con over the summer. I remember The Flash season 5 sizzle trailer dropped and everyone in the ballroom was freaking out and cheering and we all stood and clapped. The atmosphere in that room was electric, so to speak. Nothing like a bunch of Flash nerds geeking out over a TV trailer.
