Day 132: Transportation
Write about taking your favorite (or least-favorite) form of transportation.
Della and her sister, Reve, quietly took in the sights of the small town in Minnesota they were driving through. It used to be an old mining town but they converted to wind power a few decades ago, for better or worse.
Reve loved reading up on the places they drove through on the way to their target location. She found every town's story fascinating. She even wrote songs detailing their history. Della tolerated it because it made her happy.
What made Della the most happy was her souped up Cadillac that she inherited from their late mother. Her ex had it all tricked out with the latest tech he could get his hands on. It was the smoothest, quietest ride she'd ever had.
They were abruptly past the little towns and on the open road by now. Rain slick and bright, they could see everything laid out miles ahead of them. Some unknown mountain range off in the distance.
"It's gonna be a few hours until we get to the location, you wanna stop for something to eat?" Della asked.
Reve shook her head. "Not if you don't want to, I'm good to keep going."
The sisters smiled at each other. Della's only purpose in life after their mother died was to keep her little sister safe.
A hard THUMP came from the trunk.
"He's still making noise huh?" Della laughed.
Keeping her little sister safe included taking the piece of shit tied up in the trunk to his judgement day.
