What if you mirror started talking to you?

Mirror, mirror on the wall...
"What do you want?"
WHOA, are you...actually responding to me?
"Yes. Now what. do. you. want?"
Uhhhh *laughs* am I the fairest of them all? I'm just kidding! I know I'm not. I just have no idea what to ask a mirror!

Reflection stares back at me for what feels like years.

"Vanessa, you obviously have some fucking problems."
Um, okay. I think we're done here, mirror.
"No we're not. You summoned ME."
Not to be mean to me!
"Not being mean, I'm being honest. Do you want me to go away or do you want me to be honest?"

I stare back.

Be honest.
"Stop comparing yourself to other people. Stop questioning your own decisions and your own success. Stop silencing yourself when it's more beneficial to speak up. You have a powerful, loud voice that you can use to help other people. Do that instead of worrying about fitting into a bikini. You are not the fairest one of them all. You don't have to be. Use your strengths and stop focusing on your percieved weaknesses."

My eyes start to well up on their own.

My reflection gives me a thumbs up and all of sudden, it's just me alone again.
